Roofing in Bowling Green, OH.

Bowling Green sits about 40 miles east of our shop in Napoleon, a straight run down US-6. We've been driving that road for years. Wood County is our second home, and Bowling Green is one of the towns we work in most.

It's a real mix. Bowling Green State University brings about 20,000 students to town, which means there's a huge inventory of rental houses sitting alongside long-time family homes. Downtown around Wooster Green has older properties that need careful work. The west side has neighborhoods full of single-family homes from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Out past the Wood County Fairgrounds you run into ag land and farmsteads.

We work on all of it. If you own a home in Bowling Green and need residential roofing, we'll drive out and take a look. Free inspection, written estimate, photos of whatever we find up there.

We also work with a lot of landlords. Student rentals need a roofer who can move fast between leases, communicate clearly about scope, and keep the job clean so tenants aren't disrupted. That's bread and butter for us.

Neighborhoods and property types we work in.

Bowling Green covers a lot of ground for a town of its size, and the housing stock changes fast as you move across it. Here's where we spend most of our time.

Downtown and Wooster Green

Older homes and mixed-use buildings near the Wood County Courthouse and the BG Historical District. Some of these roofs haven't been touched in 20 or 30 years. Steep pitches, dormers, original decking that needs careful attention. We slow down on these jobs and do them right.

North end and BGSU rentals

The area around Bowling Green State University is wall-to-wall student housing. Duplexes, fourplexes, single-family homes converted to rentals. If you're a landlord here, you know a leaking roof in October means phone calls at midnight. We move fast on rental jobs and work around tenant schedules.

West side and south end family homes

Classic suburban ranches and two-stories on streets off Wintergarden and Fairview. These are the homes we re-roof most often. Owners who've been there 15 or 25 years, shingles reaching the end, ready for a one-time job done right.

Farm properties on the outskirts

Head out toward Portage, Weston, or Haskins and the lots get bigger. Farmhouses, pole barns, shops, and outbuildings. We do metal roofing and commercial work on agricultural properties across Wood County, often in the same visit as the main house.

Weather that hits Bowling Green hard.

Wood County sits on flat, open terrain between the Black Swamp and Lake Erie. There isn't much out there to break up wind. That's good for farming and bad for roofs.

In spring you get straight-line winds pushing 50 or 60 mph across open fields, then hail dropping out of storm cells that build up over Lake Erie and roll south. Summer brings heavy downpours that test every valley and flashing detail on your roof. Fall is freeze-thaw season, where water sneaks under a lifted shingle, freezes overnight, and pries it loose a little more each day.

Winter is where ice dams show up. Poorly ventilated attics melt snow unevenly, water refreezes at the eaves, and backup starts pushing moisture up under the shingles and into the house. We fix that with proper ice and water shield at the eaves and valleys, plus balanced intake and exhaust ventilation.

If a storm just came through and you think your roof took damage, call us. We handle storm damage and insurance claims for homeowners across Bowling Green and Wood County.
